Sam started as a mortgage loan officer in 2001 and a business development and product manager from 2004 – 2008. He developed an expertise for FHA and reverse mortgage products. Sam joined Mortgage U in March of 2008 and serves as an instructor and author specializing in FHA, Reverse Mortgages and conventional loan training. Sam’s easy going style keeps students engaged. His thorough knowledge of reverse mortgages has become a valuable resource for many lenders.

Amy Hinkle – Instructor, Author

Amy started as a mortgage processor in 1998 including FHA and conventional loans. After a few years in underwriting she moved to operations training at a large national lender. Amy joined Mortgage U in April 2008. Her expertise includes FHA and conventional training as well as procedure writing. Amy’s authoring skills are used by many lenders to create clear and concise written procedures for their operations.

Lisa Koon-Bloomburg – State Licensing Specialist, Course Development

Lisa began her 11-year career at a nationally known title insurance company where she conducted closings for both conventional and government loans. Lisa went on to be the funder for a wholesale lender quickly moving up to Assistant Vice President of Wholesale Funding and was responsible for training her staff on reviewing title insurance, surveys, appraisals, closing documents and funding advice.
