So please check back often and subscribe to our newsletter for updates to the class schedule.

GETTING STARTED

Loan officers who want to originate loans in Michigan must be registered with the State of Michigan effective April 1, 2009.

There are two ways to begin the registration process:

1) Employment History Exemption: A person who has performed as a loan officer for 4 ½ of the last 5 years, preceding April 3, 2008, is exempt from the 24 hour pre-registration course. You must complete an Employment History Exemption form available through the testing company Pearson Vue.  Once your exemption is approved, you will be given an ID number and will be able to register to take the exam.

BE PREPARED with our Loan Officer Test Preparation Webinar

The State of Michigan loan officer exam is a challenge for everyone! Mortgage U provides the perfect test preparation workshop in a webinar format. Our Loan Officer Test Prep Webinar is focused on the state and federal compliance you need in order to pass the test. Check our schedule for live update seminars to be held soon!

2) LOAN OFFICER PRE-REGISTRATION EDUCATION:  A person who does not meet the Employment History Exemption must attend a state approved Loan Officer Pre-Registration course before they become eligible to take the exam and complete the registration process.  The LOAN PRODUCTION 24 course at MU provides the comprehensive education required by the state.
